The master's degree programme in Digital Media Communication teaches interdisciplinary problem-solving skills to meet the challenges of a digitised world. The subject matter of the programme results from the intersection of people, computers and media in a changing society in which media worlds are both the subject and the means of social and cultural exchange.

Fields of application and focus

The field of application of action in increasingly digitalised contexts includes strategic and tactical use of language, its meaning and interpretation in (political) argumentation and the task-specific design of communication processes in professional contexts.

Further focal points are communication science and cognitive-ergonomic aspects, in particular the question of how people interact and communicate when dealing with digital media formats, and what significance cognitive, communicative and linguistic skills have for interface design tailored to users.
